Installation preparation
A little preparation goes a long way.
You do not need a finished plan to request contact. Once we’ve discussed your project, these simple steps help you get ready for installation.
Confirm who is supplying the lights.
If we are supplying the lights, confirm the style, supplies, and additional charge with us before installation. If you are using your own, unpack and test your outdoor-rated strands, set damaged strands aside, and keep the product instructions available.
Gather the supplies you already have.
Set aside your lights, clips, timers, and outdoor extension cords together. Tell us what you have during quoting. Wait until we review the setup before buying extra supplies specifically for the project.
Choose the details you want to highlight.
Think about your roofline, front entrance, railings, or accessible small trees. A quick description helps us understand your priorities. If we ask for photos during follow-up, ground-level views of those areas are useful; there is no need to climb up for a picture.
Point out access and power.
Let us know about gates, sloped ground, limited access, and the outdoor outlets you expect to use. Before the appointment, clear movable items from the agreed work areas and keep pets away from those areas.
Keep the plan handy.
Review the agreed areas, supplies, installation date, and price. If anything changes, raise it during follow-up so the work can be confirmed before installation. Include takedown in the conversation if you would like removal planned too.
